Ivery Frances Metcalf King, 96, of Mars Hill, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019. She is the daughter of the late William Clee and Cornelia Ball Metcalf and a lifelong resident of Madison County. In addition to her parents. Mrs. King is preceded in death by her husband, James King; nine siblings; and sister-in-law and best friend, Johnnie Metcalf.

Mrs. King is survived by her sons, Ronnie King (Frances) and Danny King (Janice); grandchildren, Lorena Franklin, David, Alan, Scott and Brenda King; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Sarah Shelton and special nephew, Ricky King.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Dean Metcalf and Larry Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chambers Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
