James Buckner, 87, of Marshall, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. He is a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Reagin and Augusta Goforth Buckner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Frisbee Buckner; and two brothers, Donald and Michael Buckner. James was a lifelong farmer who loved staying busy.

James is survived by his brother, Robert Buckner (Barbara); sister, Peggy Herron (Carol); niece, Angie Buckner; nephew, Jeremy Buckner (Lisa); several great nieces and nephews; and good friend, Leslie Teague.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Friday, October 8, 2021, at Teague Chapel Cemetery. Reverend Garland Rice will officiate.
