James William Crowe passed away October 15, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1943, in Madison County. He was a son of the late James H. Crowe and Zora Holland Crowe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Edith Chandler Crowe, and his 2nd wife, Margaret Ann Franklin Crowe.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debra Ann Milligan (Charles) and Edwin Alton Crowe; special daughter, Alicia Plemens; 3 grandchildren, Justin Ramsey (Rachelle), Tiffany Hysinger (Jay), James Ramsey; 4 great grandchildren, Hannah Ramsey, Shelby Ramsey, Colt "JC" Ramsey, and Jayden Hysinger; 2 step daughters, Vickie Wilde and Donna Deaver; 5 step grandchildren, Alicia Plemens, Michael Wilde, John Brandon Deaver, Jessie Deaver, and Misha Nicholls; 1 step great grandchild, Maddox Denton; and special family friends, Ricky, Beth, Michelle and Aaron Roberts.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Walnut Creek Baptist Church. Reverend Gerald Sprinkle and Reverend Mark Bullman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
