James Roscoe Griffin, age 90, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016. He was the son of the late Posey and Datha Slagle Griffin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Wilson Griffin; sister, Dolores Griffin and brother, Loy Griffin. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by a sister, Florence Ammons; brother, Claude Griffin (Helen); sister in law, Louise Williams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be private at Green Hills Cemetery.
