James Ricky Griffin, Sr. 58 of Ammons Branch Road, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center TN. He was a native of Madison County and the son of the late James Hudgins Griffin and Kaye Wilds Griffin. Rick is also preceded in death by a daughter Holly Noel Griffin. Rick was an avid motorcyclist and loved his Harley Davidson family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé'; Joy Hensley, daughter; Jelly Collazo (Richard), son; Ricky Griffin, Jr. (Melissa), sister; Sheila Buckner (Larry), grandchildren; Greyson and Rylee Griffin and Joy's children, Jemma and Aviey, and many friends that considered him their "special brother".

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 3, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Brad Willis and Kellen Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
