James "Chester" Teague, 89, of Marshall, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was a son of the late Ambrose and Nola Freeman Teague and a lifelong resident of Madison County. Chester was a member of Teague's Chapel Church and was a farmer and timber cutter.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Gerry Jean Teague, and a brother Charlie Teague, Jr.

Chester is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Parker Teague, daughter, Norma Jean Snyder (Raymond); sister, Essie Branam (Donald); and a niece, Geraldine Branam Ray (Stewart).

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Ronnie Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Teague's Chapel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
