Jason Anthony Banks, 32, of 1478 Bee Tree Rd. beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him, left this world on September 9, 2011 to go home to heaven. He was born in Buncombe County and the son of Clyde and Gail Payne Banks. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Virgil and Loduska Banks, maternal grandfather, Lewis Payne, aunt, Evelyn Revis, uncle, Don Payne and cousin, Michael Harrell. Jason was self employed as a cab driver and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Fairview. Surviving in addition to his parents is a daughter, Faith Ann banks, a sister, Stephanie Banks, maternal grandmother, Mildred Payne, niece, Megan Murphy and brother in law, Matt Murphy. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. Karen Lawrence will officiate. Burial will follow in the Banks Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
