Jenny Ann (Karabelski) Smith, 52, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Thursday August 1st, 2024

after a fierce battle with cancer.

Jenny was a loving, passionate, loyal and devoted wife, mother, friend and employee. Her beautiful smile, deep blue eyes, curly red hair, along with her fun loving and outgoing personality, lit up every room she walked into. She had a presence about her that was unavoidable and inviting.

Jenny was employed by, Vista Developers in Hendersonville, where she faithfully served as Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She loved her job, the people she worked with and considered herself very fortunate to be a part of the organization.

Jenny was born in 1972 at Fort Benning, Georgia, to First Sargent David Karabelski and Emily Corbin. Being the daughter of a military man provided Jenny the opportunity to live in Italy from ages 2-5. After her return to the United States, she was raised in Lapeer Michigan. Following her graduation from East Lapeer High School in 1990, she moved to Lake Lure NC, to be with her grandparents and mother. Jenny remained in the Black Mountain area until her marriage to Doug Bowyer, then they moved to Indiana in 2000, where she lived, worked and raised her two children Casey and Tyler Bowyer. Impressively, while raising her children and working part time, Jenny attended Purdue University. In 2006, she earned a BS Degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2013 Jenny moved back to the Lake Lure area where she met her current husband, Travis Smith, and the two of them moved to Hendersonville.
