IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry Comer
Freeman
November 23, 1953 – December 1, 2024
Jerry Comer Freeman, 71, of Weaverville, NC, entered into his heavenly home on December 1, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on November 23, 1953, to his parents, Comer and Alice "Mother" Freeman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Cole; brothers-in-law, Gordon Cole, LC Chandler, and Raymond McMahan; and sister-in-law, Shirley Freeman.
Jerry dedicated 23 years to Estes Express, where his commitment and hard work were deeply appreciated. He was known for his kind, hardworking, and Christ-like personality. He had a servant's heart and was willing to do anything for anybody. He graciously gave his love and respect to all those around him and expected nothing in return. Jerry was a man of his own words, and had many talents and could fix anything.
Jerry cherished his family more than anything. He dedicated his life to caring for and loving them endlessly. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Debra Freeman; his children, Steve (Arlene) Freeman, Donny (Jocelyn) Freeman, and Shelly (Josh) Rajaniemi; grandchildren, Grayson (Brandi) Freeman, Riley (Joseph) Maynor, Callie (Nick) Evans, Peyton Frady, Gaven Frady, Emily Freeman, Maddie Lunsford, and Jaidyn Freeman; great grandchildren, Desten Freeman, Chaisyn Freeman, Emmaline Evans, Jayce Maynor, Lilah Evans, and Benton Maynor; a brother, Paul Freeman; sisters, Betty Chandler, Bonnie (Blink) Burleson, and Nancy McMahan; his best friend for many years, Michael Honeycutt; loving brothers-law and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Piney Mountain Baptist Church, Weaverville, NC, with his loving son, Pastor Steve Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Saturday prior to the service.
