Jerry Dale Peel, 80, of Mars Hill, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. He was a native of Texas, having lived the last several years in Madison County. Jerry was the son of the late Judge Arnold and Othel Lawson Peel, and is also preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Patman Peel, a son, Michael Edward Peel, and a grandson, Anthony Peel, two sisters, Wynetta Killingsworth and Zona Phillips, and a brother, Arnold Peel. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Sandra Fox (Travis); son, Jeff Peel (Missy); a brother, Dave Peel; grandchildren, JT Peel (Katie), Chris Peel, Jessica Fenske (Clint), and Jacob Cedillo; great grandchildren, Raiden Fenske, Corbin, Oliver, and Emerson Peel.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Graves will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. JT and Chris Peel, Clint Fenske, Jacob Cedillo, Erik Buckner, and Nick Hollifield will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service.
