Jesse Jerome Burleson, Sr. 77 of Burleson Branch Rd. passed away at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He was the son of the late Jesse Talmadge and Lillie Thomas Burleson. He is also preceded in death by his wife Patricia Veronica Haynes Burleson and a son Jesse Jerome Burleson, Jr. and eleven siblings. Mr. Burleson was a member of Living Waters Gospel Group and a previous member of Sounds of Home. He was a US Army Veteran and retiree of General Motors and volunteered with Buncombe County Meals on Wheels. Mr. Burleson is survived by three daughters, Debbie Arthur (Dale), Jody Seymour (Scott) and Trish Priddy-Childers (Steve); nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Burial will be follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 – 7 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Buncombe County Meals on Wheels, 146 Victoria Rd., Asheville, NC 28801.
