Jimmie "Phil" Lee Burleson, age 79, of North Fork Rd. passed away on Friday, September 17,2021. He is the son of the late Samuel Clifton and Irene Haynes Burleson. Mr. Burleson was a native of Buncombe County and retired with 32 years of service as mechanic for NC DOT. He was the best dad two kids could have ever asked for.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Yount Burleson; daughter, Rhonda Burleson Melrose (Curly); son, James Burleson; sisters, Linda Savage (Lucian), Lillian Riddle (O'Neil) and Shirley Searcy (Richard); brother, Isaac Burleson (Carolyn); two grandchildren, Hannah Shelton (Christopher) and Devan Burleson and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, September 20, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Roy Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Burleson Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2PM prior to the service.
