Jimmy Dale Carver, 69, of Poverty Branch Rd., Barnardsville, passed away February 14, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Agnes Gregg Carver. Jimmy was a US Army veteran and was employed with Cooper Construction for over 35 years and was a resident of Madison County for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Joyce Carver; daughter, Joyce Carver Rice (David); sons, Rocky Carver (Candy Buckner), Rodney Carver (Connie) and Christopher Carver; grandchildren, Natasha and Mason Carver, Brandon Anders (Elizabeth), Haley Summey (Charles), Dakota, Quentin, James, Katlyn and Mikayla Carver, Tristen, Riley and Shelby Rice; great grandchild, Charlie Anders and a special friend Sherry Rice (Roger Anders). A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, February 18, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Jerry Wheeler and Daniel Reid will officiate. Burial will follow in the Holcombe Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be at 134 Philips Valley Rd., Mars Hill, NC 28754.
