Joann Lawing Allman, 79, of S. Main Street, passed away October 24, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Len Harley and Virginia Dare Condrey Lawing. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Allman. She is survived by a daughter Deb Carlson (Bruce); a son, Steve Allman (Bev); brother, Leland H. Lawing; grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Allman, Emily and Amy Carlson and a great grandchild, Carson Allman. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, October 27, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of which she was a member. Reverend Keith Watkins will officiate. The burial will follow at Ashelawn Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Monday at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
