Joanne Hylemon Rice, age 71, daughter of the late Joe and Lizzie Robinson Hylemon, went to her heavenly home, Wednesday August 16, 2023.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Hylemon.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, David; her daughter, Kendall (Jeffrey); granddaughter, Kassi (Chris); two great grandsons whom she called "Mamaw's boys", Josiah and Davis; her sisters, Lucille Metcalf, Eloise Rice, Wanda Willis (V.J); and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday August 21, 2023 in Vision Missionary Baptist Church. Reverends Cliff Franks, Martin Fisher, and Michael Garrison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bull Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday August 20, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Outreach Ministry c/o Vision Missionary Baptist Church.
