Joe Bruce Ogle, 91, passed away on May 29, 2025. Born on February 17, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Belle Ray Ogle.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Dean Ogle, three sisters and three brothers. Joe was a member of Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Christine Hale Ogle; daughter in-law, Brenda Jarrett Ogle; a special granddaughter, Jade Ogle; and a sister, Hettie Brookins

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday June 2, 2025 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home. Reverend Ben Whitmire and Matthew Griffin will officiate. Rick Fisher, Joe Merrill, Kevin Johnston, Jeffery Ray, Jeremy Hyatt and Mathew Hale will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Ray, Brian Hale, Gordon Hale and special great nephew Mason Hyatt.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the K8 floor at Mission Hospital, Primary Care 1, Dr. J. Antindori, and the dedicated nurses for their compassionate care as well as sister-in-law Grace McPeters, Terri, Jeremy and Mason Hyatt.
