John Lindsley Cutrell, caring father of Matt, Faith and James Cutrell, husband of Lynn, brother of Mary Jo Bailey of Irmo, SC, passed away July 1, 2021, at his home in Mars Hill, NC. He was a native of Charlotte, NC and the son of the late Joseph and Mary Hill Cutrell. John came to study at Mars Hill College in 1978. He was a Navy veteran. People who knew him knew that he never met a stranger and always had a word of encouragement. Before his health declined, he was an active member of Grapevine Baptist Church and enjoyed all the fellowship, just recently saying how much he missed the church. John never lost his faith and expressed that when he died, Jesus would be the reason that he would be in heaven.

A graveside service will be held, 1:00 pm Monday, July 5, 2021, at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
