John Arthur Dodson, 65, of Walnut Creek Rd. passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Mission Hospital Memorial Campus. He was the son of the late James Charles "JC" and Rose Massengill Dodson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, James Dodson. John was a former Mayor and Alderman for the Town of Marshall. He is survived by a son, John Dodson Jr.; brother, Doug Dodson and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Pritchard Cemetery. Reverend Bud Marlor will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
