Jose Carmen Gonzalez

1965-2024

Born on June 1st 1965 in Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Paulino Gonzalez and Fausta Malagon. On Thursday September 19, 2024 Jose Gonzalez, loving husband and father of 6 children suddenly passed away.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jose. He enjoyed a quiet evening with a cold beer and a good football game, specifically the Florida Gators. He followed Nascar and loved taking his family out to eat. Sitting in the stands and cheering on his sons in their sports. Surrounded by family was his favorite place to be. Jose was a hardworking man who took pride in taking care of his family.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 14 years Amanda Gonzalez and their two sons: Alex Bryson Gonzalez and Adrian Javier Gonzalez, sons; Colton Gonzalez (Erica), Tyler Gonzalez (Samantha), Adam Gonzalez, Derek Gonzalez (Faith), grandchildren; Gabriel, Eli, Cole, Hunter, Hudson and Enzley. In addition, Jose is survived by numerous siblings and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday September 26, 2024 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend James White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
