Joseph "Dennis" Kuykendall, 79 of Old Marshall Hwy, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Sunday, December 13, 2020. He is the son of the late William Dale and Lucy Cox Kuykendall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Shelton Kuykendall. He is a US Air Force Veteran and a Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Swannanoa, Lodge#561.

Mr. Kuykendall is survived by a stepdaughter, Sandra Shelton Rollings; sister, Judy Baldwin; brothers, Robert Dale and Paul Kuykendall; step grandson, Nicholas James Rollings and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Woody Dillingham will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Serving as pallbearers are: Jacob and Shawn Anders, Charles Swann, Tyrell and Terry Kuykendall, Mike Smathers, Jason Laney and Nicholas Rollings. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.
