Karen Maney Haynes, 77, passed away on December 19, 2024. She was born on September 29, 1947 in Buncombe County to the late Reeves and Floy Dillingham Maney.

Karen was a retired teacher's assistant from Barnardsville Elementary School. She and her husband took pride in making molasses every year, while they were able. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lindsey Haynes.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bruce Haynes; daughter, Lisa Carswell; son, Eric Haynes (Tammy); sister, Kim Ray (Danny); brothers, Roger Maney (Sherry), and DuWaine Maney (Terri); grandchildren, Justin Carswell, Nicholas, Trenton, Chloe, and Devin; great grandchildren, Jaylea, Tristin, and Lucas.

A private burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnardsville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 Sunday, December 22, 2024, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service.
