Karen Marie Massey, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015, age 50. She is the daughter of Helen Louise Rice Massey and the late Alfred Dee Massey. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Lee Massey, Alfred Dee Massey, Jr and wife Sheila Lunsford Massey and nephew, Jeff Metcalf. Karen's greatest love was her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Deanna Massey Metcalf (Clyde, who was more of a brother than a brother in law), sister in law, Judith Wells Massey; nieces, Athena Massey, Corinna Mull, Katrina Johnson and Leslie Massey; nephews, Dee Massey, Joe Metcalf and Phillip Massey, 16 great nieces and nephews, and five great great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Clyde Metcalf, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM Monday at the Anderson Cemetery.
