Katherine Buckner Willis, 74, of Marshall, went to Heaven on angel's wings, March 24, 2024. She was the daughter of the late, Jospeh Glen and Helen Worley Buckner. Katherine attended South Fork Church and retired from Sonopress. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Lane Metcalf, and Rick Willis; and a brother, Roger Glen Buckner.

A loving second mother to her nieces and nephews. She was a true fighter surviving cancer and the deaths of both her husbands. Katherine loved being outside and working in her flowers and gardening.

She is survived by a sister, Diane Ballard (Wayne); a brother, Danny R. Buckner (Joyce); nieces and nephews Marcy Sexton (Andy), Jason Buckner (Michelle), Forrest Buckner, Aaron Buckner, Timothy Ballard (Amy), Jeremy Ballard (Bonnie), and several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Jeremy Ballard and David Jones will officiate. The burial will follow at West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
