Katherine Hensley Wolfe 69, of Weaverville, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Carmen Hensley and Emline Tipton Jackson and was a native of Yancey County having lived most of her life in Buncombe County. Katherine was a mom to everyone and loved taking care of others. She was a nursing assistant at Care Partners for 37 years where she brought comfort to thousands.

Katherine is survived by her husband of 47 years Luther Wolfe; daughters, Cindy H. Thom (Phil), Teresa Lewis and Brenda Hall (Brian); Son, Andy Wolfe (Heidi); sister, Ruth Anne Cline (Jack); brother, Carmen Hensley; grandchildren, Austin Hollifield, Brandon Ledford, Kyle Ledford, Gavin Lewis, Brendan Hall, Dawson Wolfe and Anzley Wolfe; great grandchildren, Silas and Gatlin.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. Reverends Steve Rhinehart and Brian Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00pm Sunday at the church.
