Kathleen Thomas Cody, age 95, of Knoxville, formerly of Mars Hill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend has gone home to see her family and receive her Heavenly reward. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy was born May 16, 1928, in Madison County to the late Theron and Ethel Justice Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Cody; son, Arvil Cody; brother, O.C. Thomas; sisters, Geraldine (Jeri) Thomas Milam and Betty Thomas Fuller.

Left to cherish her memory are a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and her lifelong best friend, June Wyatt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday June 25, 2023 at Upper Laurel Baptist Church. Rev. Cline Hensley, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
