Kay Gleisner of Mars Hill, age 73, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Cliff Tarbell and Elsie Craft Michelau. She is preceded in death by her husband, Murel Gleisner and a son, Michael Gleisner. She is survived by her daughters, Kim Lloyd (Sam) of Mars Hill and Dawn Woolf (Thomas) of Mars Hill; sister, Bernice Klippenes; brother, Joe Michelau; grandchildren, Lorinda, Shanna, Zachary, Kayleen (David), Sarah, Jonathon, Matthew, and Sterling; great grandchildren, Ben and Logan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kay loved the Lord and her church family. She always looked at the bright side of things no matter how she felt, had a fun personality and a great sense of humor. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Upper Laurel Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
