Kaye Griffin Rice, 74, of Mars Hill, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Edgar and Della Sprinkle Griffin. Kaye retired from Micro Switch Manufacturing and attended Beech Glen Baptist Church prior to her illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Rice; brothers, Ronald, Bruce, and Mitchell Griffin; and brother-in-law, Bud Smith.

Kaye is survived by her sisters, Dean Lewis (David) and Joyce Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Stanley Peek will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
