Keith Cody, age 43, traded the challenges of this world for the peace of his forever home with his Lord and Savior on Oct 2. Keith attended Laurel Bend Baptist Church. He is resting safely in the arms of our savior reunited with his beloved dog, Mac.

He lived a life full of love, positivity and laughter. Even when life got tough, Keith stayed calm and shared his big, happy laugh with everyone. He loved to joke. Keith had a heart of gold. He was generous; even though he didn't have much, he would happily give you what he had.

Born to Vardon and Diana Cody, who loved him with all of their hearts. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Claude Cody, and his maternal grandparents, J.B. and Opal Roberts. Despite life's hardships, he always looked on the bright side, greeting everyone with his warm smile. He never complained but was content. Keith loved to fish, especially with his favorite fishing buddy, Vardon. Keith's passion for fishing brought him tremendous joy, but nothing surpassed his deep love for his family.

Keith is survived by his loving life partner, Angie Ponder; his devoted parents, Vardon and Diana Cody; his treasured sisters, Tammy Cody (Dwight) and Joyce Cody (Montie); his cherished nieces, Britney, Ariel, Danica, and Addyson; and his witty nephew, Shawn. He was blessed with a wonderful bonus sister, Crystal Webb, an amazing physician and friend, Dr. Melissa Robinson as well as many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Keith also held a special place in his heart for Aiden, Angie's young grandson, whom he adored.

Keith's carefree spirit, generous heart, and deep love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He has stepped into eternity, now dwelling in the radiant presence of his Lord and Savior, free from all earthly burdens. Our hearts are completely broken, but we hold tight to the promise of God's love and look forward to the day we will be together again in heaven.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Reverends Danny Jenkins and Nick Coates will officiate. Burial will follow the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday at the funeral home.
