Kelly Lynn Rice Lisenbee, 52, of Barnardsville, NC passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Duke

Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Kelly is the daughter of Billy Rice and the late Carolyn Rice. She was a

native of Buncombe County. For the past 21 years Kelly practiced Oncology and Urology at Duke

University Hospital and Duke Raleigh Hospital. She received degrees from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, University of Pennsylvania and Duke which included a PHD in Hematology, Doctor of Nursing and was a fellow with Johnson and Johnson Company. Kelly is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucinda Clark and mother, Carolyn Rice.

Kelly was a bright soul, who loved Jesus, her family, and neighbors who she saw as family. She was a

member of Midway Baptist Church in Raleigh. One of her passions was providing care and love to all

those she met including all her patients. Please remember her in flip flops with a pink shirt and shorts

on, in the garden or on a beach playing with her dogs.

Kelly is survived by her husband: Edward Lewis Lisenbee; her father: Billy Rice; two daughters: Taylor

and Faith Young: two brothers: Mark Rice and wife Amy and Raymond Rice and wife Sherry; four

nephews Austin, Cameron, Kaylen, and Aston Rice; stepdaughter, Kristen Lisenbee and two stepsons,

Nolan and Nicholas Lisenbee.

A Celebration of Kelly's life will be held in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral

Service on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00pm, Reverend Dean Metcalf will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be prior to the funeral on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. After the service, family and friends will be gathering at 58 Williams Branch Barnardsville, NC 28709.

Flowers will be accepted as memorials.
