: K. Val English, 84, of 236 English Rd., died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Madison Health and Rehab. Mr. English was the son of the late Oscar and Nell Ball English. He was a native of Madison County, member of California Creek Baptist Church and a navy veteran. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters Gwen Fender, Bertha Chandler, Gertrude Chandler and Doris English, brothers Joby, Bruce, Jack, O.V. English and Kyle Tomberlin and granddaughter Leah Ramsey.

Mr. English is survived by his wife Freida Ball English, daughter Barbara Ramsey and husband Randy, son Kenneth English, brothers Carroll and Kermit English, grandchildren Shannon Vilcinskas and husband Ashley, Jesse English and wife Rebecca, great grandchildren Brooke and Pressley Vilcinskas.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2012, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev Josh McDevitt will officiate. Burial will follow in the English Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
