Kenneth Lunsford, 88, of 140 Monticello Rd., passed away, October 23, 2018. He was a native of Madison County, having lived most of his life in Buncombe County and the son of the late Ralph "Doc" and Lockie Worley Lunsford. Kenneth attended Carsons Chapel Baptist Church and his favorite past time was playing music. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wives, Cumi Blankenship Lunsford and Helen Fox Lunsford; sisters, Ruth Stines and Nora Mae Hensley and brothers, Ralph Jr., Howard and Loy Lunsford. He is survived by sisters, Velma Payne, Jean Barnette (Danny), Christine Wilson (Wayne), and Mary Lou Ponder; step daughter, Karen Marica Banks, step grandchildren, Seth Shirey and Drew Ballard; sister in laws, Nancy Ray, Betty and Nancy Yount Lunsford; a special friend, Imogene Boone and several nieces and nephews A funeral service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends David Crowder and Gary Fender will officiate. Burial will follow in the West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1-2:30pm prior to the service.
