LaManda "Mandy" Paige Hughes, 30, of Weaverville, NC passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Mission Hospital in Ashevllle, NC. She was the daughter of Anthony E. Rice and Lori Carswell Peterson. Mandy was preceded in death by her father: Anthony E. Rice, a son: Asher Cain-Hensley, and her grandfather: Douglas Carswell.

Mandy is survived by her mother: Lori Carswell Peterson and her husband Stanley, her fiancé: Gary Hensley, two daughters: Skylar Rice and Lainey Hensley, one stepsister: Elizabeth Crooke, one brother: Brandon Hughes, and two stepbrothers: Brandon Peterson and Kyle Peterson, grandparents: Harry and Deb Rice, and grandmother: Columbia Carswell.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 1:00pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Rev. Raymond Cook officiating. A burial will follow in Tildon-Metcalf Cemetery. Mandy's family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:00pm prior to the service.
