Larry Lee Brigmon, 80, of Brown Street, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018. He was the son of the late John Blake and Aretha Maney Brigmon. He was a native of Madison County but was a winter resident in Florida. Mr. Brigmon was a very successful entrepreneur. He was the owner of Asheville Marine, Founded Land of Sky Bass Masters in Asheville, Commissioner of Little League Sports in North Buncombe and Officer of B.A.S.S.- Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. He was an avid sportsman and an excellent craftsman. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Merrill Brigmon; daughters, Cindy Ross (Dean) and Deborah Frisby; son, Stuart Brigmon (Caroline); sister, Judy Cable; grandchildren, Andy and Ronnie Ross, Veronica Gentry (Chuck); Jonathan Lee and Mollie Brigmon; great grandchildren, Millie, Harrison and Vanessa Ross, Zeke and twins, Ava and Ellie Gentry. A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Kevin Boone and Stanley Peek will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bull Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 – 3 PM prior to the service.
