Larry Noland Hunter, 78, passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, September 10, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1947, to the late William Glaston and Cora Josephine Briggs Hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hunter.

Larry graduated from Mars Hill High School, where he was part of the baseball team that won the state championship in 1965. After high school he spent two years serving his country in the US Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Larry retired from Sears Roebuck Co. after 35 yrs. He loved doing woodwork in his shop and working his farm on his tractors.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Wilde Hunter; a brother, Terry Hunter; and many family members and friends.

Military graveside rights will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
