Lawrence Moore, 64, of Asheville passed away June 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Jackson and Edith Etta Chandler Moore, a brother, Ricky Dean Moore and a grandson, Daniel Burchett. He survived by his wife, Martha Rumbough Moore; daughters, Jeannie Davis (Michael) of Asheville and Geneva Stapleton (Alvin) of Leicester; seven sisters, Marie Lunsford, Anna Mae Autry, Etta Jane Boyce, Shirley Miller, Nip Newman, Gladys Banks and Linda Jones; five brothers, Walter Moore, Robert Moore, David Moore, Carroll Moore, and Bill Moore; grandchildren, Darrell Burchett, Jessica Burchett, and Wendy McMahan; great grandchildren, Olivia Burchett and Anna Brown; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 29th at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Larry Moore and Kenny Stump will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for funeral expenses.
