L.C Chandler, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. L.C was born to the late Lewis and Ada Ponder Chandler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Phil Chandler.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife Betty Freeman Chandler; daughter, Darlene Dillingham (Stephen); son Leonard Chandler (Marty); sister, Ruth Hudson; brothers, Dwight, David and Ronnie Chandler; 2 grandchildren, Landon and Stephanie; 3 step grandchildren, Chris, Derek and Tristan.

L.C lived every day of his life to the fullest. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he cherished family and friends and was always happy to help anyone in need. L.C set a wonderful example of what a Christian life should look like and was a faithful member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church for 60 years.

A funeral service will be help at 1:00pm Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Piney Mountain Baptist Church. Reverend's Eric Dimsdale, Steve Freeman and Sibbald Lambert will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
