Leroy Dewayne Carver, 67, of Mars Hill, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Rev. Claude and Dollie Shook Carver. Leroy is a member of Shoal Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Anthony Carver (Emma); three sisters, Glenna Mace, Flo Arrington (Maylon), and Elaine Bradley (Roger); and five brothers, Landon, Dewey, Daniel, Neal, and Hoye Carver.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Judy Franklin Carver; a daughter, Lashay Carver (Jeremy Wallin); two sons, Travis Carver (Mikayla) and Austin Carver (Jyssica); sister, Wilma Orr; brother, Ronnie Carver (DeeDee); sister-in-law, Teresa Carver; grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Axel, Millie, Trapper, Ayden, Kennedy, Keely, Arya, and Theo "Anthony" Carver, and Syhlas and Anastasia Holley.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Shoal Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Marshall, NC. Pastors Brian Roberts and Darrell Woody, and Brother Joel Fox will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service.
