Linda Poteete, 83, of Mars Hill passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was born to the late Alvin Edman and Ruby Alice Devers Chaney. Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Poteete and brothers, Bill, and Carl Chaney. Linda was loving and faithful, always thinking of others. She enjoyed many crafts, including crocheting, coloring, and quilting.

Linda is survived by children: Richard Witthuhn (Sylvia), Mary Lou Silvers (Turner). Roy Poteete (Stacey), Jacque Simmonds (Darren); nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Randy Wood will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hot Springs. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
