Lola Payne Gosnell, age 94, passed away on November 10, 2023. She was born April 25, 1929 in Madison County, to the late Wade and Lila McDevitt Payne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Roy Junior Gosnell, Jr.; daughters, Irene Sams, Christina Gosnell, and Priscilla Gosnell; sons, Ed Gosnell, and R.J. Gosnell; 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Lola is survived by her daughters, Debbie Gosnell (David), and Bertha Littrell (Marvin); sons, Mark Gosnell (LeAnn), and Jerry Gosnell (Pam); 22 grandchildren, Becky, Rodney, Randy, Lisa, Michelle, Kristy, Scottie, Jeff, Tony, Bryan, Denise, Angie, Christine, Lori, Brandon, Eric, Heather, Martin, Hayden, Bryce, Jackson, and Maddie; and 62 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Charles English and Clyde Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gosnell Cemetery, Rebel Ridge Road, Marshall. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
