Grace Lorraine (Metcalf) Griffin, 82, of Mars Hill, NC passed away, February 5, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Alice (Anders) Metcalf. Lorraine loved everyone more than they ever knew and was loved by everyone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Leonard Griffin and a brother, Alvin Metcalf.

Lorraine is survived by a son, Charlie Griffin (Brenda Patrick), sisters, Gale Metcalf, Frances Melton (Lewis), Geneva Bailey (Morris), Wanda Hensley (Larry), Marion Goforth, Loretta Edwards, Iris Edwards (Maurice) and Betty Rogers (Jim); brothers, Randall Metcalf (Elaine), Ottis Metcalf, Ray Metcalf (Sandy), Jerry Metcalf (Ann), Jack Metcalf (Melissa) and Teddy Metcalf; grandchildren, Sarah Reining (Caleb) and Joseph Griffin; great grandchild, Emily Reining; several nieces and nephews and a beloved daughter-in-law, Kathy Griffin.

A funeral service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Tommy Justus and Rev. Tony Vess will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
