"When the good Lord is ready for me to come home, He'll take me"

-Lorrie Nynette Fisher Roberts

On Friday, February 13,2026, Mom was called home to Heaven. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and her two loved (and very spoiled) little dogs. She was a lifelong resident of Weaverville, NC and was the daughter of the late Frank James and Betty Faye Metcalf Fisher. Lorrie is preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Fisher.

Mom was a fun, big-hearted, energetic person who was always willing to lend a helping hand and ready to serve in whatever way was needed. She was a nurturer and caregiver, a natural with babies and children. Whether she was volunteering in the church nursery or working at Mission Hospital, everyone who met her loved and enjoyed Mom's kind and gentle nature.

She loved her children fiercely-Stacie Taylor, Loretta Ball, and Adam Roberts. Mom often told others how proud she was of her children, and she held special pride in her two sons-in-law, Brant and Kurt.

She absolutely adored her grandchildren- Hunter, Kayla, Ava, Quinn, Ledger, Asher, and Selah. As "Mammoo", she was the very definition of what a grandmother is supposed to be: loving, generous with big hugs, giving and joyfully spoiling them rotten. If they asked Mammoo for it, they usually got it. She loved them fiercely.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy Fisher, Sheila Roberts, and Shirley Cole.

For the past eight years, Mom spent her days on the flower farm with her beloved little dogs. She found great joy in feeding the chickens and donkeys, tending the flowers and being outdoors. Her walks to the mailbox daily -sometimes two to three times because she forgot she had already checked it-became a cherished routine. She loved planting, weeding, and watering the garden and took her responsibilities seriously, especially weed-eating the property. We know her garden in Heaven will be immaculate, with long rows of green beans and okra.

We have peace and comfort knowing that we will be reunited with her one day. There was never any doubt about her faith or her relationship with our Lord and Savior. Now she has a perfect body-no dementia, no cancer, and even her little arthritic fingers are made whole.

We will miss her here on Earth, we know this is not a final goodbye, but simply a "see you later."

Mom, we love you fiercely. - Stacie, Loretta, & Adam.

The family will hold a private burial.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Never Ending Flower Farm, 152 Tom Harris Trail, Barnardsville, NC. The time of the service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Asheville Dream Center - Barnardsville Division. These gifts will continue the mission of rebuilding lives and restoring hope for the Kingdom of God, https://ashevilledreamcenter.org
