Loyd James Willis, age 91, of Mars Hill, passed away Saturday May 27, 2023. He was a son of the late Ed and Bonnie Hollifield Willis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Loyd was a deacon at Peek's Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Arrington Willis; his son, Larry Willis, and his wife Louise; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 31, 2023, in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Mark Crowder and Vince Keith will officiate.
