On June 30, 2022, Lyndall Gerald English went to his Heavenly home after a short battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Mars Hill where he resided for the last 33 years. Lyndall was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Lucille English, granddaughter Samantha Howell and many pets that he dearly loved.

Lyndall is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years: Ossie Mae; sister Ada Lou Cole (Roger) of Black Mountain; his two children: Lynn Howell (Lloyd) of Kingsport, TN and Laura Millsaps (Randy) of Bryson City; three grandchildren: Jessica Holt of Albemarle, Aaron English and Benjamin Collins of Bryson City. Lyndall was a loving great grandfather to Alex, Taylor, Max, Mackenzie, Waylon and Danner. As well as several nieces and nephews.

As a lifelong entrepreneur he most enjoyed the car business and the people he met and worked with. He also enjoyed farming, mowing and raising cattle. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a long time member of California Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at California Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Josh McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow in California Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 -7pm, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
