Mabrie Dixon Stanton, age 82, of Weaverville, passed away on March 13, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1942, in Madison County, to the late Hobert and Ethel Tweed Dixon. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Bertha Sandlin.

Mabrie is survived by her husband, Edward Stanton; sons, Don and Steve Stanton (Sheila); sister, Lavada Wisenbecker; and 2 brothers, Aaron Dixon (Ann), and Carl Dixon (Susie).

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 16, 2024, in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Rhinehart and Rev. James Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Harwood, Larry Anders, George Pack, Junior Franklin, Steve Massey, Ray Franklin, Steven Rhinehart, and Ronnie Plemmons.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
