Madge Eloise Fox Arrowood, 92, of Bull Creek Road passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Claude Fox and Gennie Allen Fox Rice. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Arrowood of 62 years, three infant children, a grandson, Ricky Arrowood; two great grandsons, Jase Bailey and Dalton Doan; and sons-in-law; Kenneth Freeman and Hank Lancaster. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Carl, Paul and Wade Fox; sisters, Glenna Rice Juanita Ball, Harriette Clark, Louise Cantrell and Gennie Alice Fox.

She is survived by her daughters, Iva Freeman, Dianne Smith (Jamie); Bobby Arrowood (Maxine), Joe Arrowood, (Racine); sisters, Claudia Greene, Minnie Haynie; nine grandsons and one granddaughter; nine great grandsons and two great granddaughters; five great-great grandsons and three great -great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Madge was the oldest surviving member of Sexton Freewill Baptist Church and for as long as her health allowed she was a faithful member.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Jimmy Dean Hensley and Anthony Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in the Madison Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 prior to the service.
