Mammie Hensley, age 77, of Weaverville. Passed away Monday, February 16, 2015. She is the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Rice Hensley. She is preceded in death by her husband Ottis Hensley. She was born March 3rd, 1937 in Madison county where she lived until 1962. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sara Duck and Leatha Pegg; brothers Garrett, Baxter, Coy and William H. Hensley. She is survived by sons, Bobby Hensley of the home and David Pegg (Vicki) of Hobson Branch; sister Dorothy Yearout of Asheville; brother Everett Hensley of Weaverville; grandson, Cody Pegg; several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Johnny Case. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 20th at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Greg Hollifield officiating.
