Marcia Gail Guthrie Roberts, 75, of Weaverville, departed this life and went to her eternal heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Troy and Irma Fox Guthrie. She was a native of Madison County, having lived most of her life in Buncombe County. Marcia was a graduate of North Buncombe High School, and she retired from Morgan Brothers School Supply Company.

Marcia accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a young age and was very grounded in her faith. She was a lifelong, faithful member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching the little ones in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, and serving on the church food committee.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Guthrie.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Tim Roberts; son, Tracy Crowe (Casey); sister, June Clark; mother-in-law, Juanita Roberts; sisters-in-law, Pam Tweed and Susan Pike; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and three great-great nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Reverends Phillip Parker and Ken Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
