Marie Peacock, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

She is survived by her sons, Dermot Peacock and wife Mary Ann of Marshall, NC and Kevin Peacock of Charleston, SC, brothers, Tony Murphy of Robins Hoods Bay England and Francis Murphy of Almeria Spain and a special friend Donna Eaton of Mars Hill.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed curling up on the couch with an enjoyable book and a nice cup of tea. Marie will leave many family members and friends with fond memories that they will hold dear.

She was a proper English lady, polite and understanding, kind and giving that had made a mark in three countries on two continents. She was also a loyal subject of her majesty the Queen. She now continues her travels.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Father Fred Werth, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
