Marie Lewis Willis, 77, of Mars Hill went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 11, 2017. She was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Andy and Hattie Crow Lewis. Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents Marie is preceded in death by sisters, Pansy L. Dale and Thelma L. Ponder; brothers Junior Lewis and R.J. Lewis. Mrs. Willis is survived by her husband, Edgar A. Willis, son, Rodney Willis; daughter, Ronda Hensley and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Anna and Andy Hensley; sisters, Helen L. Fish and husband Owen of Leicester, Dorotha L Thorpe and husband Kenneth of Marshall; brother, David Lewis and wife Jane of Mars Hill; sister in law, Kathy Lewis Hamlin of Mars Hill;, brother in law, Ned Dale of Morganton and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Upper Laurel Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Willis was a member and deeply loved her church family. Reverends Cline Junior Hensley and Paul Hensley will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm Monday at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill.
