Mrs. Martha O'Sullivan Sitton, 76, of Alexander, NC passed away on Tuesday evening, May 24th, 2022, at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek. She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Arledge O'Sullivan. Martha was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a devout Christian, raising her children in church in hopes that they would become followers of Christ themselves. Martha loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Lisa Newbern, one sister: Louise O'Sullivan, and four brothers: Gerald, Ray, Donald, and David O'Sulllivan.

Martha is survived by her husband; Larry Sitton, daughters; Pam Rush and Paula Jones and husband Ronnie, son; Paul Sitton and wife Lisa, son-in-law; Danny Newbern, one sister; Marie O'Sullivan, two brothers; Larry and Bo O'Sullivan, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1:00pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The Sitton family will receive friends from 11:30am until 1:00pm prior to the funeral. Interment will follow the funeral at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville.
